He obtained a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2016 and a PhD in Management, Production, and Design in 2021. During the PhD, he focused on developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Vision methodologies for facial expression recognition, with the aim of improving human-machine interaction and making interfaces natural and adaptive.
After obtaining the PhD, he broadened his research interests by applying AI-based solutions to different application domains, including industrial automation, healthcare, cultural heritage enhancement, sports, and wellness. This multidisciplinary approach allowed him to explore the potential of AI not only as a tool for analysis and decision support, but also as an enabling technology for immersive, interactive, and user-centered systems.
At the same time, he deepened the study of advanced visualization devices, in particular Extended Reality (XR) technologies, which include Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR). His interest now focuses on the synergy between AI and XR, where intelligent systems are able to interpret complex real-world contexts and adapt the immersive experience to increase user engagement, training effectiveness, and applicability.
